A Legacy of Faith
The Story of Victorious Living Church of God
Born out of a holy hunger for more of God, Victorious Living Church of God traces its roots to 1993, when five believers committed themselves to prayer and fasting — believing God for revival. Through those sacred hours of seeking, God spoke clearly, confirmed by multiple witnesses: revival would come, and a new ministry would rise to lead His people into victory.
In 1997, with pastoral blessing and a fire that would not be quenched, Victorious Living Church of God was officially launched. After a journey of closed doors and divine appointments, the congregation found its first home at Fernwood Park District, 10436 S. Wallace — where the theme “Where Trials Meet Triumph” was born.
A Home of Our Own
In August 1999, God spoke to Pastor Blair in prayer: the time for wandering was over. In bold, Spirit-led faith, he secured a loan for a property not yet seen. By late September, the Spirit directed him to 270 E. 14th Street in Chicago Heights, IL — the former True Holiness Church. Two days before Thanksgiving, keys in hand, Pastor Blair, Lady Blair, and a few faithful members walked through the doors of their new home. Prayer, praise, and thanksgiving filled that place, for God’s favor was unmistakable.
The months that followed brought renewal — a new roof, windows, doors, baptism pool, carpeting, chandeliers, and HVAC. Then came an extraordinary word: the mortgage would be retired within six months. True to His word, in August 2003, the mortgage was fully retired — a debt-free victory that called for celebration. That October, the congregation gathered at the Chateau Bu’She, joined by Diocesan Bishop Arthur M. Brazier, to commemorate a miracle that belonged to God alone.
Always Forward
Just as the ink dried on that triumph, the Spirit of God stirred new purpose: “Do not grow comfortable. There is more.” The Lord identified a ministry renting space from a local park district and charged VLCG with the task of blessing them in a big way — trusting God to do the same in return. Without hesitation, VLCG responded in obedience and poured into the ministry of New Harvest, going above and beyond so they would know that the same God working on VLCG’s behalf was working on theirs.
In January 2008, God called once more — this time to South Holland, IL. That building was never for sale to just anyone — it was reserved. Though many ministries stood in line ahead of them, favor cannot be ignored. VLCG closed the deal, and on Mother’s Day held their first service in their new home — a celebration of thanksgiving honoring the God who made all things possible.
In the years that followed, God kept His hand on the ministry. Two renovations reshaped the facility, culminating in a complete sanctuary overhaul in 2019 and the installation of a new baptismal pool. He has been faithful to honor every act of obedience and sacrifice.
A Future Full of Promise

And now, as clearly as He has spoken before, God is speaking again — a new chapter is on the horizon. God’s favor is upon this church and His people. What He has begun, He will complete. The best chapters of Victorious Living Church of God are still being written —and the ministry is poised to expand and embrace everything God is doing in this new season.
